On behalf of the Nelson Baseball Association, welcome to the 2024 Season!

2024 will see the Nelson Baseball Association (NBA) fully integrate the Aces (girls-only, female-coached, players aged 7-10) in regularly scheduled team play. As last season's champs, Nelson will host the 2024 Majors playoff tournament in June, while our players aged 5-10 will enjoy increased available playing/practice time at Lions Park. Additionally, the NBA is working on rolling out a new website and league branding later this year.

Once again, the 15U Kootenay Kestrels will return with players from the Tri-Cities (Nelson, Trail and Castlegar). The Kestrels offer competitive baseball at a level between our house-league program and the Trail 15U AA team and play concurrently with the house season and into the fall.

The mandate of the NBA is to provide a safe, fun, developmental environment for players, coaches, and parents. Our ballplayers will learn fielding and batting skills, the rules and strategy of baseball, and essential life skills such as fair play, accountability, and how to be good sports. Our goal is to grow the love of the game and foster a culture where players enjoy coming to the ballpark and can't wait to come back season after season.
