On behalf of the Nelson Baseball Association, welcome to the 2025 season!
As we have every year since 1965, we are thrilled to keep building on our history as one of the cornerstone baseball programs in the West Kootenay. To kick off our 60th season, Nelson Baseball is pleased to share some exciting new changes for 2025:
Once again, the 15U Kootenay Kestrels will return with players from the Tri-Cities (Nelson, Trail, and Castlegar). The Kestrels offer competitive baseball at a level between our house-league program and the Trail American Legion team and play concurrently with the house season and into the fall.
DO NOT WAIT TO REGISTER! Roster spots are limited, divisions fill quickly, and waitlist spots are not guaranteed. Spread the word and ensure your player is enrolled ASAP to avoid disappointment.
The mandate of the NBA is to provide a safe, fun, developmental environment for players, coaches, and parents. Our ballplayers will learn fielding and batting skills, the rules and strategy of baseball, and essential life skills such as fair play, accountability, and how to be good sports, whether you win or lose.
Want to be a part of it all? In addition to an experienced coaching staff, we need assistant coaches and volunteers to help provide the best playing experience possible. If interested, please note where you can help on the player registration form or visit our contact page.
We look forward to seeing you around the diamond this season as we continue to build on 60 years of youth baseball in Nelson.
